Sandy Malone, LPCC
Welcome! I am glad you are here. You are not alone in your search. Everyone has seasons of difficulty in life and relationships. Inviting the right therapist to journey with you through difficult times will help you move with more clarity and purpose. I am passionate about helping people heal from the wounds that keep them from connecting with those they love. Relationships are central to our lives, and relationship issues are often at the core of our internal struggles. With compassion and empathy, I help clients navigate life experiences, past and present, that have disrupted their ability to walk in freedom within themselves or in relationships with others.
As an integrative therapist, I offer a blend of talk therapy and somatically-based methods, such as Brainspotting. This modality uses points in the client's visual field to access unprocessed issues in the subcortical brain and to help regulate their nervous system. In an environment of acceptance, warmth, and compassionate curiosity, I will help to explore your current issues, develop self-awareness, and find solutions leading to freedom. I help my clients to identify and shift obstacles and learn skills for a healthy relationship with others and, most importantly, with themselves.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Before my formal training, I worked as a lay counselor and counseled youth and adults of all ages, providing counseling and mentoring to individuals in various settings. My training in trauma-informed care utilizes a collaborative, compassionate, and somatically grounded approach to therapy. Hope, healing, and resilience are found in clients who, in relationships, journey together toward wholeness and health.Like our fingerprints, we have all been made with a beautiful and unique design. One single approach to therapy does not work for everyone. I work individually with each client to find the kind of counseling that fits their personality, history, and season of life.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about me or how I might be able to walk with you on your journey toward health and healing.
