Dr. Estes is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Having never outgrown his love of play and curiosity for how kids learn and grow, Dr.Estes pursued the field of psychology. He completed his B.S. in Psychology from RegisUniversity and earned his Doctoral degree in School Psychology from the University ofColorado - Denver. Dr. Estes completed his predoctoral internship at the DevelopmentalNeuropsychology Clinic at the University of Denver, where he gained extensive experience in developmental disabilities evaluations, including learning disabilities (reading, writing, and math), ADHD, and school-related problems due to social and emotional concerns.

Dr. Estes has spent the last six years working as a school psychologist in the Cherry Creek
School District. He ascribes to the philosophy that kids do well if they can and helps families and caregivers understand their children’s abilities, strengths, and challenges through a developmental and psychological lens. 

Within his role at Canyon Pines Counseling, Dr. Estes provides comprehensive psychological evaluations. Assessment informs treatments which can lead to the best outcomes for mental and behavioral well-being. Dr. Estes specializes in childhood neurodevelopmental evaluations used
in the diagnosis of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual
disabilities, as well as mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Estes strives to provide thorough
evaluations, accurate diagnostic impressions, evidence-based recommendations, and safe therapeutic relationships with all of his clients.
