Lindsay Straka, MSW, LCSW

Hello! I am excited that you have taken this step to enhance your well-being and live your best life in seeking support through therapy. I believe that the most important part of therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client. I look forward to seeing if I would be the right fit for you.
I have my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, families, athletes, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have worked in schools, residential treatment, child welfare and juvenile justice, athletics, and, most recently, Children’s Hospital Colorado. My experience includes working with people who have struggled with trauma, grief/loss, eating disorders, chronic illness, coming out and identity questions, suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviors, depression, anxiety, perfectionism and more. My approach to therapy is person-centered and gender-affirming and I utilize MI, SFBT, CBT, DBT, ACT, and TF-CBT.
I am a Colorado native and former two-sport collegiate athlete. I enjoy spending time outdoors with family, friends, and our two dogs. I love cycling, skiing, hiking and my new passion is pickleball!
