Welcome to Canyon Pines Counseling!
I'm glad you're here and considering taking the next step in your mental health journey. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process, and I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is foundational to meaningful progress. I aim to provide a space that is direct, transparent, and supportive: one where we can collaboratively work toward your goals.

I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, both from Colorado State University. I also received clinical training at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, where I provided services to high-risk clients of all ages. This experience focused on helping individuals develop distress tolerance, improve interpersonal effectiveness, and process complex emotional challenges. Currently, I am a Psychologist Candidate working toward full licensure in Colorado. I provide psychotherapy to adolescents and adults, as well as comprehensive psychological assessments. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a professor at Colorado State University, teaching undergraduate psychology courses that is fueled by my passion for deepening our understanding of human behavior.

I have experience working with a broad range of presenting concerns, including:

  • Depression and mood disorders

  • Anxiety and stress-related conditions

  • Identity development

  • Trauma and grief

  •  Interpersonal challenges

  •  ADHD

I also specialize in psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including evaluations for cognitive and intellectual functioning, academic performance, personality, and developmental concerns.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Throughout my practice I strive to integrate a culturally sensitive perspective to individual care. In our sessions, I adopt a client-centered approach to create a genuine and welcoming space for us to work together towards achieving your goals. I also emphasize psychoeducation to help demystify patterns of behavior and internal experiences, enhancing insight and promoting lasting change.

As a Colorado native, I enjoy making the most of what this beautiful state has to offer. In my free time, you can find me fly fishing, hiking, snowboarding, or spending time outdoors with my family and dogs. I’m also a lifelong enthusiast of video games, science fiction, movies/audiobooks, and Pokémon – always happy to connect over shared interests.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward growth, healing, and greater self-understanding.
