Hello, I’m Rachel — and I’m so glad you are here!

Starting counseling is a brave step, and I want to honor you for taking it.  I believe every person has the ability to grow through life's challenges and to discover the strength and resilience needed to live a healthier and more hopeful life.  I see counseling as a collaborative journey, where the relationship between the client and counselor creates space for healing, growth and meaningful change.

I am a graduate student in the counseling program at Colorado Christian University, preparing for a career in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  I come to this work not only with academic training but with lived experience that shapes my heart for helping others.  I am a mom, a children's ministry director, and a former foster parent - roles that have deepened my compassion and strenghthened my belief in the power of hope and healing.  As someone who has walked through my own difficult seasons, including that of infertility, I've experienced firsthand how counseling can be life-changing, and it's a privilege to walk alongside others on their own journeys.

Outside of clinical training and practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and our 100+ pound Rottweiler, Max, investing in my church community, and savoring deep friendships usually over yummy food.  Oh, and I do lots of laundry.
